How can that be? Even though she's the shelter's second-longest resident, she's still as soft and loving as she was when we first met her. She recently went on an offsite day trip with volunteers, and, well, it went swimmingly - yes, Kurtrina went swimming! She also met lots of human friends, walked well on leash, and displayed neutral behavior toward dogs at a distance on the sidewalk and at a coffee shop. She has plenty of energy for a neighborhood walk, and is willing to play fetch, but she doesn't need a yard or a family of athletes to keep her happy. She just wants to be with her people and is relaxed about being brushed and handled. In the shelter, she will bark at people and animals on the other side of the fence, so she needs a family that appreciates this added safety feature, or is willing to work on curbing the barking. Kurtrina is a soft and sweet big girl who thrives with human connection and would be a perfect companion for an individual or family. Kurtrina #A2155188 5 yrs old, 84 pounds, female.
