About Nala

Nala is a sweet and affectionate girl who nearly was euthanized after she was found wandering in Grays Harbor and was not claimed by her owner. We don't know how this amazing girl was not claimed! This loving girl is a perfect medium sized gal who we believe she is a mix of Heeler and German Shepherd. She is very gentle and loves to come up and give hugs. As you approach Nala, she has the cutest little way that she lifts one of her fronts paws and bounces on the other to say hi. She also is quite the jumping bean and has springs in her legs when she gets excited. When it comes to riding in the car she is a perfect angel, laying and sitting quietly in the back seat. While Nala is friendly with everyone, she seems to be more drawn to women and will probably be a Mama's girl. Though she happily and repeatedly climbed up on any gentleman at the store who gave her some pets and love to ask for more. Nala is very shy around other dogs so she will need slow introductions and preferably a calmer dog to help her learn that she is safe. But she has shown no aggression towards other dogs in the home, only wariness as she builds confidence. While she has not been officially cat tested, we are aware she was walked past the shelter cat (reportedly not a friendly cat), and Nala wasn't even phased by the cat, walking right on by. That is a good sign she will likely be ok with cats. At this time, she has not been tested with farm animals. This sweet little girl is looking for a forever lap to lay on. Someone that she can bond with to build her confidence. Nala is crate trained, house trained, and a very smart girl who knows basic commands. Once Nala has obtained her spay, and received medical clearance she will be available for adoption.
