About Yoshi

Yoshi is a quiet and independent Shiba Inu with a calm demeanor and classic breed traits like aloofness, stubbornness, and self-sufficiency. While she values her personal space, she enjoys being near her person-whether curling up nearby on the couch or gently asking for head scratches. She's a well-mannered dog indoors, respectful of household items, and not prone to destructive behaviors. However, Yoshi thrives in a predictable, low-stress environment. She has some resource and food-guarding tendencies and can be anxious in chaotic or noisy settings. Sudden loud sounds, busy streets, and big changes can be overwhelming for her. Due to these sensitivities, she does have a bite history, which is why her previous owner had to rehome her. With patience and structure, her triggers can be managed, and she has already shown progress with training. However, our current home-situated in a lively downtown area-has proven to be too stressful for her, making it difficult for her to truly thrive. Ideal Home for Yoshi: Experienced Owner - Someone familiar with Shibas, anxious dogs, or dogs with resource guarding. Calm & Predictable Environment - A quieter home with minimal loud or sudden activity. Secure Outdoor Space - A fenced yard or quiet neighborhood where she can comfortably go outside. Single-Pet Household - Yoshi prefers to be the only pet and is protective of her person. Despite her challenges, Yoshi is a loving and low-maintenance companion for the right owner. She's not overly demanding but will form a deep bond with someone who understands her personality. With patience, structure, and a peaceful home, she has the potential to flourish.
