About Colt

**LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY** COLT is a 5 month old, 18.4 pound Beagle puppy surrendered to us with his littermates. He is sweet, outgoing and active! COLT is all puppy. He is fearless and playful! He loves to play tag, chew on sticks, dig in the dirt, and run around the yard with his brothers. His foster mom says he is the most beagle-like of his brothers. He loves to be outside, playing, sniffing everything and he's very curious. When playtime is done he turns into a lovable couch potato and enjoys his downtime! COLT gets along great with other dogs and would love a home with another playful dog and a fenced yard. We have not had him around cats and he would probably really enjoy kids who would play with him! COLT is working on potty training and coming along nicely, but he is still a puppy who will need continued training with that and other basics. We highly recommend the PetSmart puppy training classes for anybody adopting a puppy! At night COLT sleeps in the bed with his foster mom and foster siblings. COLT has been to a vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, has been fecal tested and wormed, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter will be scheduled at one of our vets and is covered by the rescue. Because he has pending vet appointments COLT is local adoption only, which is within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. ***If you are considering bringing COLT home, we encourage you to read about the breed! Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments and dogs with behavioral issues are local adoption only. We review multiple applications for each dog and pick the best fit.
