About Hunter

**LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY** HUNTER is a 5 month old, 16.6 pound Beagle puppy surrendered to us with his littermates. He is a sweetheart who isn't afraid to explore on his own. HUNTER has the most gorgeous green eyes! He is a very sweet and loving boy and likes to cuddle with his foster mom. He gives kisses freely and snuggles up for naps. HUNTER would love to have a dog friend to play with in his new home. He likes to be around the other dogs in his foster home but also seems to be content playing on his own. He loves toys! He has not been around cats or kids but should be perfectly fine with kids. He is an active puppy who will need a lot of attention and stimulation. A fenced yard would be awesome for him. HUNTER is working on potty training and coming along nicely, but he is still a puppy who will need continued training with that and other basics. We highly recommend the PetSmart puppy training classes for anybody adopting a puppy! At night HUNTER sleeps in bed with his foster siblings and his foster mom. HUNTER has been to a vet for a wellness check, has had two sets of puppy shots, has been fecal tested and wormed, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He needs one more set of shots, due in a couple of weeks and provided by the rescue. His neuter will be scheduled at one of our vets and is covered by the rescue. Because he has pending vet appointments HUNTER is local adoption only, which is within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. ***If you are considering bringing HUNTER home, we encourage you to read about the breed! Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments and dogs with behavioral issues are local adoption only. We review multiple applications for each dog and pick the best fit.
