About Mare

Meet Mare, a delightful little 2 year old Parson's Russell Terrier mix. She is a tiny girl and weighs just 8 pounds. Mare was on the euthanasia list at a small shelter in Southwest Kansas due to space constraints. Thankfully, she was given a second chance at life and landed in one of our foster homes. Mare gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and even cats. Mare is extremely shy with humans at first so she needs a dog buddy in her home to show her how to model her behavior and approach humans. Her adopters will need to be patient and understanding while she adjusts to a new home. Mare is a keen observer. She tends to hang back and watch other dogs interact with people before she builds up the courage to approach. She'll need a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and do her zoomies. Mare is housetrained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped, making her ready for her forever home.
