I got her out of an abusive situation where she was kept in a small room, abused, and bred for 2-3 years. Now she deserves to live for herself. Despite everything she has been through all she wants is someone to be her person. She hasn't been with me long but she adores me. She follows me around, always wants to be on my lap, and always wants belly rubs. She is still underweight from her last pregnancy so she doesn't have much energy to play, but she runs around and gets very excited when I come home and when her puppies have zoomies. Outside of the home she is reactive, which is understandable considering, until recently, she has never experienced anything. Based on the time I've spent with her, I can confidently say she is absolutely trainable to be not reactive on walks if she is with someone she trusts. She is significantly more reactive around her puppies, as she wants to protect them. She is house trained and is very well behaved most of the time. She is a young australian shepherd, so of course she is going to be mischievous sometimes, but she listens when you tell her no. You do have to be gentle correcting her, as she still gets afraid that she is going to be hit sometimes. It's heartbreaking and I hope someone will be able to work with her and heal that part of her. She would do best in an environment where someone is home often. It is unlikely she will be able to live with another dog, so human companionship is very important for her, especially with how much love she has to give.
