He is a great dog. He does require a well fenced yard. He is not a dog who does well off leash with recall. We think he is an Australian Shepherd mix. Brewster is a handsome young adult neutered male with the fluffiest coat imaginable. His golden eyes reflect the treasure of a loving heart. He is very affectionate and adores belly rubs. He is mostly house trained. He has not offered to mark in the house but does like to do it outside a lot. When adopted, a review of the house-training rule will have to be reviewed. Many times a new home for a dog can set the house-training behavior back a bit...review is usually necessary. He stays looking clean, Even after playing in the sand his coat allows the sand to fall off. He adores playing with all we have-a 30 pound dog friend and with the 80 pound dog friend. He loves EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. He is curious about cats'| but is mostly interested in sniffing them and nosing them. If the cat runs , puffing up with the 'come get me' look '| then it will peak his interest. He can be deterred. Brewster is kennel trained'| but strongly prefers to be with you! He also loves to 'lean on you' to give you a hug. He is easy on the leash. He will do best where he can get some active outside time (walks or yard play). He is a 'herding' breed so they need activity with a purpose in life. Herding breeds tend to be very smart and cannot be left alone a lot or ignored. He is food motivated which makes him easy to train. These dogs are part of you family... part of your life. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters.
