About LOKI

Lincoln/Loki came to us from Yuma where he was reported to be a little spicy in the shelter but he has not been this way with any of our fosters or volunteers nor was he that way in a temp foster home there in Yuma. He also did great with the groomer! He LOVES love and is always seeking it out and is extremely sweet. HIs preferred place is on someone's lap. His prior owner may have been a man because he does warm up a little more quickly but his current foster is female and he is doing great with her as well. He needs someone who will provide him some stability and an active lifestyle!!! Loki LOVES his walks but can be a little opinionated about other dogs he encounters (might just be a bit of protectiveness toward his human). He has LOTS of energy for a dog his age so needs someone active who will be able to manage him. His foster mom takes him on a mile run twice a day which is the level of activity he needs. If an adopter has a yard he is happy to play catch/fetch but he definitely needs exercise!! Loki has developed a taste for human food and is perfecting his cute techniques when foster mom enters the kitchen and becoming a master at walking on the leash but has learned that he can run circles around her and then gets tangled up buying time to smell stuff. He is also does his business on walks and seems like he is housebroken with a dog door or regular opportunities to get out. He also does fine in crate though of course prefers to be out with his person!!! Lincoln is estimated at 7 years old and is around 9 lbs but could stand to gain a little more.
