NOW CONSIDERING SHELTER, NEED TO REHOME -- Freya is a very sweet-tempered, loving, purebred, spayed, red Tri-color Australian Shepherd. She is a terrific dog, just not a good fit for our elderly and allergic household. While we hate to do so, we really urgently need to rehome her and may consider a shelter if we can't find a home soon. Please read on. She is ultra smart, wanting to please and be showered with affection. She responds very well to treat-training. She walks on lead, sits, lays down, and waits for the queue to eat even with food in front of her. She would make an amazing agility dog. She deserves to be somewhere she can be more free to express all her fun-loving Australian Shepherd-ness. She can be nervous and reactive around newcomers and small children. She gets along really well 98% of the time with our existing Doodle (male) but does occasionally exhibit resource guarding behavior at mealtimes. If these behaviors could be managed, she would be an amazing addition to someone's life. She is housebroken, pedigreed, and comes with a full year history of total vet care. She is healthy, microchipped and ready to go. I am happy to send lots of photos - I just love this photo of her enjoying the sunshine and it only lets me upload one. :-)
