About Virtue

Virtue is a medium-sized coonhound dog who's 5 years old, his birthday is on 11/27/2019. We adopted Virtue at the Richmond SPCA. We're unaware of his past history but medically he had heartworms and requires precautionary medication for the rest of his life. We quickly found out that he requires a lot more exercise than we can provide. Preferably, we would like to give him to someone who has a fenced yard. He needs an owner who has the time to train him and give him the activity he deserves. Virtue is also an anxious dog and needs someone patient. He has toileting issues during the day due to his anxiety but we found that it's gone away the more he gets comfertable with you. At night he has no issues. He has no aggression towards other dogs, humans or animals. We're unsure about cats but when he's seen them he doesn't react. He is non-reactive to things. Furthermore, Virtue rarely barks. He loves to play. We fell in love with Virtue due to his sweet and kind nature. He loves to snuggle and lay on your lap. Virtue has a zest for life and loves exploring the world. He's even-tempered and doesn't get annoyed easily, you can touch him anywhere with no reaction. We want the best for Virtue and having someone adopt him sooner rather than later is the best option for him. His food, medications and toys/ treats will all be provided with his adoption.
