About Arlo

Arlo is very smart, loving boy who loves attention from his people. He is highly trainable and very food motivated. Arlo is great on a leash but also great off leash. He loves to hike and has great recall. He loves to nap, and for the most part is a pretty relaxed guy when feeling safe. He doesn't like being left alone and is currently on Fluoxetine for his separation anxiety. He can be left alone for short amounts of time. If you work a normal 9-5 job away from home, Arlo is probably not the dog for you. Arlo has issues with resource guarding. This has been causing issues in our home because he guards me from my children and our cats. It is causing a lot of stress on me and my family. I think Arlo would be great with a single person or couple that can keep him pretty active. He would also benefit from having an owner who is experienced in handling protective dogs and dogs with separation anxiety. We are open to foster to adopt. No kids or cats!
