'Taboo' has spent time both on farm and as house dog. Leash trained and basic commands, respects fences. He is NOT an escape artist. Around goats, chickens (not free range), cats, dogs. He is a dominant dog, does best with dogs who are not aggressive (he will defend himself if attacked). Likes to be outside & inside, doesn't mind spending time by himself, snoozing, watching the neighborhood. Sleeps a lot, minimal exercise requirements. Exposed to and confident in many different environments: farm, parks, neighborhoods and stores. Doesn't bark much at all. Confident and balanced dog. There was never any need for yelling or even raise voice. Talking calm and confident, show him respect and show him that you trust him, he will give it right back, thrives on calm and confident guidance. Loves people, animals. Is shy around small children and backs away from overly excited people. Taboo has never shown any aggression whatsoever. Recommend for home companion or general farm guardian. He patrols borders as opposed to staying right with the herd. Will only rehome to home with appropriate outdoor shelter if applicant is seeking a farm guardian; for applicants desiring a calm home companion, will consider applicants that can provide vet references.
