About Peanut

Peanut is a charming dog, approximately 6 to 7 years old, weighing in at a sturdy 50 pounds. With his warm brown eyes and gentle demeanor, he radiates sweetness and simply longs for love and companionship. Unfortunately, he found himself surrendered to us, entirely through no fault of his own. This delightful boy has some house training under his belt and is sociable with other dogs, making him a pleasant addition to any home. Although we haven't yet had the pleasure of seeing him interact with children, his calm nature suggests he would likely fit in well with a family. Peanut is familiar with a few basic commands, walks gracefully on a leash, and takes treats with a gentle finesse that showcases his polite character. With a laid-back and easygoing personality, Peanut seems to take life in stride, displaying a remarkable ability to remain composed and unruffled. Please note that we are not a no-kill shelter, and we must make tough decisions regarding animals who are ill or aggressive. **Adoption Fees:** - $165 for dogs under 5 years old - $100 for dogs over 5 years old - $200 for cell dogs Your adoption fee covers vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella), microchipping, heartworm and Lyme testing, rabies vaccination, spay/neuter, and a dog license. All dogs must be spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter; if this hasn't been done, we'll schedule an appointment for you. **Payment:** We accept cash only-no checks, debit, or credit cards please.
