About Diesel

JUST PROCESSED! [Case opened on 1/28/25]. MT. ORAB, OHIO OR WILL DRIVE TO MEET YOU. 10 MONTHS OLD, MALE BLACK SHEPHERD/LAB/PITT. His name is ' DIESEL'. Background: Very sad and disturbing background. Diesel was in an Abusive situation and the Current Shepherd Parent/Foster rescued him about 6 months ago to foster until his Furever home was found. UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed (Too young for this breed). Great with kids. Good with dogs. Good with cats (will chase to play, but NOT aggressive). House trained. Crate trained. No known medical issues. HIGH ENERGY . SEPARATION ANXIETY . ABUSE HISTORY: Diesel has been physically abused and neglected. He was beaten and dragged and then forced to live in a crate while defecating on himself. The POS's that was abusing him threatened to tie cinder blocks to him and throw him in a lake, and that is when the Current Shepherd Parents/Fosters stepped in and rescued him. Currently on 'RETRIEVER' food. Diesel can NOT eat Pedigree because it makes his hair fall out and causes extreme dry skin. Weighs 55 lbs. Good with car rides. Loves: kids- going 'bye-bye' - blankets - stuffed animals - chewing bones - cuddles-play Time - playing in water - hiking-swimming - loves everyone and everything - going to the park - interacting with everybody - playing outside- baths Personality: A Loverboy. Sweetest boy ever! This is a very sad and disturbing case, but thank God it has a happy ending so far and I will make sure the final result is nothing short of AMAZING! As stated above, Diesel has been abused and neglected. He is extremely sweet and loves everybody. He is very intelligent and knows Basic Commands. They are still working with him on the leash. He has Great Recall and will do his business and come right back. Diesel will sometimes pee when he is excited. Diesel does have Separation Anxiety as well and needs someone that is home a lot. Diesel needs to be re homed because his Current Shepherd Parents/Fosters knew they would not be able to keep him permanently, but had to get him out of his situation and save him. They have mended him to health and have shown Diesel love and now it's time for Diesel to find his Furever home. He will thrive best in a home with someone who is home a lot, a very gentle and loving person. Someone who will take time to maybe train Diesel to Free Roam the home (if possible) instead of being crated, due to his Abuse History. Preferably someone with kids and other dogs.
