About Dooku

*SPECIAL BOY WITH MEDICAL ISSUE NEEDS A SPECIAL HOME!* Meet Dooku! Available for adoption, foster, or rescue pull through Glynn County Animal Services in Brunswick GA. He is currently on the at-risk list and if space is needed, he will lose his life. He is on the list because of his medical issue. He has an old injury (old break) to his back right leg that never got medical intervention and has essentially fused the entire leg stiff. He has been seen by a vet since being at the shelter and the vet said the amount of damage they'd have to do to the leg to clean up and reset the leg isn't worth putting him through to have the chance of still having arthritis. I will say, he's done a great job adapting to his leg and while his gait is far from normal and he'll never be someone's running buddy, he gets around well. Dooku is likely 2-3 yo, still needs to be neutered, hw status is unknown, but he is dog friendly. He LOVEEEEESSS people and loves attention. He would love to be someone's couch buddy! While he's got a big ole head, he's not a large boy, probably should weigh about 50lbs, but is probably weighing in about 40lbs. He was absolutely emaciated upon arriving at the shelter, and has struggled to get weight on while there. I ADORE this boy. His eyes are the most unique and beautiful color. I know there's got to be a home out there that can look past his injury and see what an incredible dog he is. He is worthy of a loving home after what he had to endure before the arriving at the shelter.
