Name: BEALE Breed: Keeshond Age: 3 years old (35#) Sex: Male (Neutered - not confirmed) Location: Jefferson County, CO Vet Info: UTD on vaccines, HW negative (not confirmed) Owner reports: Beale was adopted from a breeder and has been with his owner since he was a puppy. Beale's owner reports 'My dog has been diagnosed with the beginning stages of PRA. I have small dogs and he is highly aggressive with them to the point of injury'|Beale has PRA and is only in the beginning stages so he can still see. He has been running into things in low light so I think it has progressed in the past 6 months to a year since his last eye exam (he had multiple eye exams in 2024). That all said, he can still see at this time.' Beale is reported to be an indoor dog that is crated. He is reported to be house broken and leash trained. Beale is good with adults. 'Beale is very sweet and friendly and has never bitten or snapped at a person but he has harmed small dogs. I believe it is food aggression but he also bit one when there was no food involved. I think they make him nervous.' According to his owner, 'I think that he (Beale) will do better in a home with only medium/large dogs or just him where he gets all the love and attention. He will need time to adjust to his new surroundings and attach to his new person/people so I would not want him to go to someone who did not understand that. I also do not know how he would do with small children so I would hesitate putting him in a home with a small child.' 'I have other dogs and an outdoor cat. Beale does well with the cat because even though the cat is small like a small dog, the cat can take care of himself.' Does anyone have room for Beale? **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
