About Orion

I need help. Hi! I have a very sweet, very young German Shorthair pointer who broke his back. He just turned a year old in January, 2025 We have no idea how he broke his back but he is paralyzed. We have a wheelchair for him. And 4 beds. Toys. Mental stimulation exercises and accessories. My 7 yr old son reads to him and we take him outside when we can but he deserves the very best and that just isn't going to be here. My problem, and yes I do understand this is my problem, is being completely overwhelmed. I have 2 little boys and 2 other dogs, I'm in school and I'm working and my husband works full time. We do not have the time or capacity to take care of him the way he deserves. Do you know of any organization who will take him and help him and keep him happy and comfortable? We did the hardest part, 8 weeks in a 2'x3' cage to heal. But it is just too much to sustain for us. I'm asking for help. I'm desperate. I don't want to make an irrational decision before doing my due diligence. He is the best, most wonderful dog who deserves the absolute best life and so much love and compassion.
