Belgian Malinois / Lab
Age: Young Adult

Meet Clover Clover is my sweet girl, adopted in 2021. She's 4 years old, I also have a Labrador retriever who is the same age. Over time, we've noticed that Clover doesn't do well with other dogs, which led us to enroll her in a 30-day board-and-train program in December 2023. She did AMAZING! Clover thrives on discipline and structure, which suits her natural drive and breed. Despite my active involvement and love for training her, there has been ongoing tension between Clover and my Lab. After much thought and conversations with other professional trainers, my husband and I have decided that Clover would be happiest in a one-pet household where she can relax and continue to thrive. About Clover Training: Clover is fully crate-trained, off-leash trained, e-collar trained (Mini Educator), and knows commands like 'down', 'break', and 'place' (on her cot). She walks beautifully in heel, has excellent recall, and loves to work. Personality: She adores people, warms up to females quickly, and takes a few hours to get comfortable with males-but has no issues once she acclimates. Clover is affectionate, loves pets and massages, and enjoys relaxing next to her people. Activities: Clover is an adventurer at heart! She loves hikes, runs, bike rides (a favorite from training), camping, and exploring. She's the perfect companion for an active lifestyle. Fun Facts: - Clover is a big beach girl! Being originally from San Diego, she absolutely loves spending time by the ocean. - She enjoys fruit and veggies in small portions-after a little taste test, she's happy to eat bigger pieces. She doesn't like blueberries but loves carrots! - Head and ear scratches are her favorite! - She's an observant pup and loves watching our day-to-day routine. - If you have a backyard, she'll enjoy exploring and sniffing around. - One of her favorite activities is going on walks or leisurely strolls. - She is amazing and sniffing out things, one of her favorite games is 'sniff and find', I hide her food around the house and she sniffs for it (great mental work too)! Special Notes Clover doesn't do well with other dogs, so we've continued her training to ensure she feels safe and confident in situations that stress her out. Adoption Details I'm happy to provide all her vet records and include her belongings (cot, crate, crate mat, blanket, feeding bowl, leash, winter coat, etc.). My husband and I are also prepared to explain her training in detail, including how to use her e-collar, recall command, and heel walking. We've completed private lessons with her trainer and feel confident in teaching her skills to her new family. This is a very difficult decision for us, but we believe Clover will thrive in a home where she doesn't have to share space with another pet. We want her to feel at ease, grow, and continue being the happy, loving girl she is. If you're an active individual or family who can give Clover the love, time, and adventure she deserves, please reach out. I set the adoption fee for $100, I am able to provide all her belongings for free. Her e-collar is $200 so I am willing to sell that as her adoption fee for $100. Because I have another dog I will be needed to replace the collar and get another.
