About Simba

Meet three year old Simba! He is an affectionate cuddle bug who loves to go on a good hike. He's an alpha male, so he needs a family or owner who has had a big dog before and just exudes that comfort with large breeds to show Simba he can trust his person to handle any situation and protect him. He is cat friendly, female dog friendly of any size, and can be with a submissive male dog. He is housebroken and loves car rides. He is such a big baby and has so much potential. He was spoiled in his last home so he will need boundaries/tough love the firet month so he respects and listens to you. A bully breed will walk over you if you don't make them work for freedom in the very beginning. Things that set him off..... bikes/hats/hoodies. He was from San Bernardino so I can see why this combo is ptsd for him. He absolutely does not like bicycles and is afraid of them and definitely needs training with being around scooters, bikes, skateboards. He's also a strong dog so until he respects you as his master, you will need to walk him in a prong. He's great with junior high/high schoo age kids, is quiet in the home. He doesnt jump or bark. He's mellow, laid back, loving and looking for a peaceful home to lounge around the house, play in the yard. Great with cats, loves hugs and belly rubs. Loves to sunbathe. Takes some time to warm up to you, takes control when he can so discipline and training is very important, very active like walks of 1hr. He is a protector and barks when afraid or someone approaching quickly or not really visible hence needing to find an owner who he can trust will protect him and help him get through the things he doesn't understand or fears.
