About TIGER LILY

Adoption Fee: $150
Chihuahua / Papillon
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Tiger Lily came to us from Yuma. She is VERY shy and still working on socialization so will need someone patient and willing to give her time to settle. She would do best in a home with a submissive male dog or no other dogs. She allows all handling by her fosters and will sometimes seek them out for pets and cuddling. Tiger Lily also has a very strong fear of men so likely would do best in a female only home. She loves food and does a cute little dance for meals and is described by her fosters as 'sweet and smart' though she does have some minor food aggression so that would need to be managed. She was not housebroken at all but is working on it at her foster and is making good progress. She is improving on a leash/harness but is still afraid of the 'outside world' She is improving on a leash/harness out is still afraid of the 'outside world' and would do best with a fenced yard since she does not potty on leash (yet). . As she has gotten more comfortable she is pretty spunky and playful so would do best in a more active home. She does fine in a crate but also has nice house manners and does not get into things she shouldn't. She was spayed and had a dental while in the rescue and is current on vaccines as well as microchipped. Tiger Lily is estimated as 7 years old and is around 6 lbs. She would most likely be good with cats though her foster does not have any and older children or no children might be best.
