I am heartbroken to be in the position to put my 8 year old Aussie Shilo up for adoption. As of recently I was displaced due to Eaton Canyon fire in Altadena, CA. This sudden life event has put me in a position of needing to find housing for the near future as my home was completely burnt to the ground. It has been a battle with the city under these circumstances to predict how long it may take to rebuild but so far there is no movement in sight. After much hardship I have had to relocate to an apartment complex in the area and I fear this will be detrimental for his mental health as well as mine, he deserves a family that has the resources to give him what he needs and enjoys in his life. Shilo is a sweet loving dog with a lot of playful energy and a desire to be a very loyal companion. At first he barks at anyone and everything he has never displayed any aggressive behavior, he is easily overstimulated and needs to acclimate to everyone he comes in contact with (with sniffs and pets)
