About Lenny

Meet Lenny. Lenny was surrendered when he was being bullied by another bigger, rambunctious dog in the home and he lashed out and accidently bit a young child's hand as he was running pass by. The other dog has created anxiety in poor Lenny and he startles very easily now. He would do best in a quieter home with low foot traffic. A home by himself or with an older dog that will not jump all over him or get in his face should be fine. Lenny has lived with 2 cats in the past as well and just ignores them. Once he warms up to you, Lenny will come to you for petting. He will need time to gain confidence and bond with his new owner. Overall, Lenny is a sweet boy just looking for the right home for him to come out of his shell and blossom. Lenny is about 5 years old and just 29 pounds. Please help Lenny find the loving home he deserves. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
