About BENJI

BENJI is a 2 year old, 30 pound Bernedoodle surrended to us because he needed a home where he can run and play and have more time with his people. He is the most adorable pup who loves kisses and squeaky toys! BENJI is so very sweet. He craves human touch, kind words, and attention. His eyes are full of love and his tail never stops wagging. He will back his butt up right into you and wiggle around to make sure you scratch him and pet him! BENJI is great with other dogs and loves playing with his foster mom's dogs. He can play a bit rough for little dogs and would be best suited in a home with a dog of similar size and energy. He is good with kids, but might be a little too much for a little one. We have not had him around cats. BENJI is very, very active and needs a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play freely. He needs to be able to work off some energy! In his prior home he did not have a yard where he could run and play and he is an absolute heaven now! He can jump very high and a 6 foot fence would be best for him. BENJI is very eager to please and easily trainable. He is learning some basic commands and working on house manners and leash walking. He has done very well with his potty training and recently has not had any accidents in the house. He did mark when he first came in, not uncommon for a male dog coming into a new home! Please remember that he is a young boy and needs continued training, attention, love, and guidance! At night BENJI currently sleeps in an open door crate but he would love to sleep with his person if he had the opportunity! BENJI has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
