This beautiful 44 lb brindle momma, 'BAILEY' just had her breed updated to chow mix (was mislabeled and overlooked as an akita until today). Not an akita, and not sure she is a chow mix, but she is beautiful. She does have a pigmented tongue and may have a little chow in her, though, possibly also some jindo or bully breed due to her gorgeous brindle coloring and smooth coat, but very unclear. Dear Bailey has 7 newborn pups and allows staff to enter her kennel with no issues per notes. (Behavior update: Allowed me to enter kennel with bowl of food and check her puppies. was more interested in food than in me. No growling or barking). SHE WAS AN OUTSIDE DOG KNOWS TO SIT AND GIVE PAW, PLAY WITH TOYS. SHE USALLY IS CALM AND SWEET. Shelter did not have issues touching the pups, and Bailey sounds like a great dog as described by the owner. We can also put up posts to help find a foster if there is rescue interest with one?
