About Henry

Meet Henry, a 1.5 year old English Bulldog, ACK registered. Henry is an energetic, loving, and social dog who enjoys being around people and other animals. While he has a very friendly disposition and seeks companionship, he can sometimes struggle with social interactions due to a lack of socialization skills. His enthusiasm can lead to occasional barking at other dogs or unfamiliar situations, especially when he feels anxious or scared. Henry has not shown signs of physical aggression but had been attacked by another dog in the past, which has increased his anxiety in some social settings. Henry does exhibit signs of anxiety, which I have been managing with some success. When he is particularly anxious, he may display behaviors such as excessive drooling, heavy panting, peeing, crying, and engaging in what I call 'zoomies.' He also has a tendency to mouth when stressed. Despite these challenges, he is a genuinely happy dog who loves affection and playtime. I have been working to calm him during these episodes by offering reassurance and creating a peaceful environment. At his last weigh-in in September 2024, Henry was 58 pounds. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is currently receiving care at Snake River Animal Clinic in Fruitland, where he has an established vet history. It is very important to me that Henry be placed in a loving, patient environment where he can receive the support he needs to thrive.
