About Izzy

We are looking for a loving forever home for little Izzy! She is a petite mixed breed pup, born on a farm in Garnett, KS. She's about 9 mo old, ~25lb fully grown at this point, spayed and up to date on vaccinations. As a herding/hunting mix, Izzy has lots of energy and smarts that need to be put to work, so we are looking for a home that can provide that to her through training and enrichment, or by giving her a job that keeps her busy! Izzy knows... Her name, how to sit, how to potty outside, how to ring the bell to go outside, what 'kennel' means, that other dogs and cats are friends to play with and not to pester or chase. Izzy loves... Table scraps and treats, exploring outside, chewing her toys in her bed or kennel, rough-housing with her big brother, playing fetch (when she can beat big brother to the ball). Izzy is working on... Consistently coming when called, paying attention when distracted by fun or interesting things outside, sticking to the boundaries and rules she knows when nobody's looking, containing her excitement and not jumping on people when greeting them. Izzy's ideal home would provide her plenty of stimulation, and either a fenced yard where she can run and play safely, or a ton of land where she can roam freely, and even possibly take on a job herding smaller animals or helping other ways on a farm or homestead! We are prepared to rehome her as soon as the right fit is found! She will come with her vet records, bed and kennel, door bell hanger, a puzzle feeder, training collar, and several toys.
