About Lonnie

Lonnie is a sweet and fun loving 8 month old cattle dog/border collie mix that has been spayed, is up to date vaccines and has a microchip. She's arounx 30 lbs. She is crate and potty trained. She has plenty of good goofy puppy energy! She is spirited and playful & loves time outside, but also enjoys a good cuddle, couch hang, and scratch session. She plays fetch, chase, and enjoys chewing sticks and playing with toys of all kinds. She seems to enjoy the company of another dog and would be happiest with a companion who wants to play and a home where she can go outside. She can play with her own toys or jointly with another dog. She is a prankster and likes to steal to initiate keep away or chase, but can also drop that game and looks to the other dog or humans for cues. She can be prone to chewing, if left unsupervised, which feels more like puppy curiosity. She is easy to direct / redirect and is really smart and teachable. She likes guidance and learns quickly & already understands quite a few commands. She would enjoy a patient, active, attentive owner. She is great on trails and does well on leash. She is a puller at times when walking but does great as a sidekick running on leash. She is loving and playful, but presents very hesitant and shy with first introductions. She warms up with time and likes the chance to scope you out and be the one to initiate the approaches to build trust. Then, she's all in! She's being fostered in Redmond.
