Wiley is a sweet and loving 4-year-old Terrier/Mastiff mix looking for an indoor forever home. He's a gentle soul who just wants love and care. He rides well in a car and is friendly to strangers too not barking at passerby's. His current situation isn't ideal, and we're hoping to help find him someone (or a rescue) who can give him the life he deserves. He would love to spend his days lounging on the couch or his indoor bed waiting for you to come home from work and watch tv with him. He walks well on a leash and is overall just a well mannered young boy. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and weighs about 80 pounds. He takes medication for a thyroid issue. I do not want an adoption fee, this is only to prevent people with ill intent and the fee can be donated to Caddo Parish Animal Shelter and provide a receipt as proof of donation. Valid rescues would not be required a fee. His back story: If home or rescue isn't found he will be euthanized in April. He is being given up for adoption due to his owner getting married and when the homes were merged he and the spouses dog began fighting. Prior to the marriage he lived with another dog and they got along very well. I believe it is a personality clash and a dominance issue with the other dog as Wiley is quite submissive. He has since been attacked a few times so the dogs are being kept separate and he is living out of a dog crate in the front yard during the day and brought in at night. Definitely not the life he was accustomed to or wants.
