About Helix

LOCATION: Round Rock, TX DOB: 11/14/2023 Meet Helix, the outgoing and goofy Great Dane/Boxer mix who will steal your heart with his playful antics and charming personality. Helix is always sleeping on his back, which is just one of the many funny quirks that make him so endearing. He loves to gallop around with his dog pack, enjoying every moment of playtime. Helix and his buddy Hudson, who has white legs while Helix has 'socks,' were found wandering the streets together. Although they are not a bonded pair, they both share a love for dog toys. Every time you give Helix a toy, even if he's seen it a million times, he reacts like a kid at Christmas. It's truly heartwarming to watch the world through his eyes, as he finds so much enjoyment in everything he does. Helix doesn't mind his crate but prefers sleeping on a dog bed next to yours. He gets really excited when you invite him up on the bed to cuddle. He's well-behaved and doesn't destroy or chew anything when left out. While he hasn't had much leash training, he's slowly learning and rarely jumps, only doing so when he's really excited. Helix is not food aggressive at all. He eats right next to other dogs and eats slowly, with no issues if other dogs or kids go near him. Speaking of kids, Helix is great with them! The kids in his foster home, ages 3 to 9, adore him. He enjoys playing with them outside and cuddling with them. Helix is a well-behaved and loving dog who would make a wonderful addition to any family.
