We rescued Lieutenant Dan at 8 weeks old a year ago from a farm in Genoa so he is just over a year old now. He was in pretty rough shape then but he's made a full recovery and he's a very happy, playful, intelligent kitty. He's an American Bobtail cat. He has a gorgeous fluffy coat and doesn't shed very much except for leading up to summer or winter like most cats. Since his hair is fluffier he gets dingleberries but he's very well behaved when our roommate shaves his butt so it's a good solution. I have clipped his nails every couple of months his entire life so he's used to it. Lt. Dan has a lot of playful energy so we suggest playing with him at least once a day. When grouped with other cats he will want to initiate play by pouncing because he comes from a litter of 12. He loves shoelaces and toy mice. My boyfriend and I love him to pieces but we are moving from a house to an apartment and we already have 2 older cats.
