About Lucky

I'm looking for someone to adopt Lucky, this dog I'm fostering from Front Street. I was paired with him for their Doggie Day Out program and later found out he was on their euthanasia list. He is too good to be put down, so I fostered him to try to buy him more time. Lucky is a sweet dog, very loving, playful, and friendly. He is pretty good on leash- he does want to chase squirrels but he doesn't try to yank your arm off and he is easy to redirect. Would just take a bit more training and he is very food motivated. He knows sit, lay down, and we are teaching him his name. He is a good cuddler and gives you a sweet smile before bed every night �ٴ� We have not introduced him to my dog yet, but his last foster said their dog kept barking at him and he did not react. He was also paired with a dog at the shelter. He does want to chase cats. But we haven't tried introducing him to cats in an intentional way. He is an 11 year old Chinese Sharpei mix. He is a senior dog, but he has a clean bill of health and has kept up just fine on walks. He came to the shelter as a stray whose owner went into hospice. If you have any questions, let me know!
