About DUKE

Moosup CT - Duke will be one year old January 20th 2025. Duke is fully vetted, microchipped and neutered. He weighs already 165 lbs. He may even get bigger. Duke is the best boy in the entire world but unfortunately has grown to be very frightened of children under the age of 4. Duke is free to a loving qualified approved home with NO CHILDREN UNDER 8 YEARS OLD. An adoption application and home check is required. Duke absolutely adores people and strangers and will lick your face until it looks like you have had a shower, he loves cats and dogs it's very funny to watch him play with them he currently lives with 2 cats and his full blooded sister who boss him around and they all love each other. His favorite treats are any freeze dried organ from any animal or beef marrow bones raw along with raw chicken feet and raw beef necks keeps his teeth nice and clean and white. He also loves frozen homemade treats that keep his mind and mouth very busy. He also loves to play with rope toys but his favorite toys are the stuffed animals that squeak. In the summertime we have a campground that we go to every weekend and he loves the water but make sure to keep a long line on him or he will try to swim the entire pond. He loves the camping life and he loves boat rides. He also goes to Petco once a month to be desheded and he does amazing, I am a dog groomer and in the summer he is groomed every 3-5 days so he is very use to all grooming machines with no issues, he gets his nails cut and paw pads trimmed every 3-5 days as well and brushed daily and he will lay for you without an issue for anything. He is also neutered and has his back dewclaws removed and licensed and registered to our town along with being fully updated on shots and microchipped. He is very good motivated and can lay down and sit and give both paws with or without treat. He does try to eat the broom and vacuum when you vacuum as he has a personal issue with them and will try to save you hahaha. He is the sweetest boy and deserves the absolute world he just cannot be with children under 4 and my house consists of 3 small children one of the age of 4 and he absolutely adores him but unfortunately is terrified of small children BUT loves everything and everyone.
