Coda is a purebred, AKC registered Newfoundland. He's a big sweetheart. He has been raised around kids and has never shown any kind of aggression (food or otherwise). We have cats, whom he likes to chase, but doesn't do anything more than that. He hasn't had much other-dog contact, but the little that he has had, he has seemed mostly curious or unfazed. He would benefit from some dedicated training. He has only been outside or in our garage, so I'm not sure how he would be indoors. He is not crate trained. He lets me groom him without much trouble. He gets regular leashed walks around our property, so knows what he's supposed to do, and usually is fine. But if he really wants something, there's no stopping him. He occasionally jumps up on us, although we have worked to minimize that. My goal was to let him free-range our property, but we have chickens and young family members that are afraid of him. His current 'short-term' pen is keeping him too cooped up. I think he would thrive in some wide open spaces.
