About Twister

We're looking for a new home for Twister, a male German Shepherd mix born on May 6th, 2024. Twister is fully vaccinated but unneutered. He knows a variety of commands, including sit, lie down, 'leave it,' 'take it,' fetch, roll over, stay, come, potty, crate, and drop it. He is also fully crate and potty trained. Loves playing fetch and tug of war, and has plenty of energy and drive. Very attentive and easy to train. Highly treat and toy motivated. Twister is a very tolerant dog, and does not resource guard food or toys. He is completely comfortable with people handling his food, bones, etc. He's also easygoing about touch, whether it's his tail, paws, etc., making grooming relatively simple. We are seeking to rehome Twister due to health problems, I had an accident and brain concussion and still having issues with bad dizzy spells and balance so I a unable to handle him and work on training . Twister does great with men and women but can be less trusting around kids, making him better suited for a home without young children. He has a strong guard instinct, plenty of confidence, and the potential to excel as a work, farm, or even service dog with additional training. Twister would be best fit as a companion for an active individual or family without small children who can dedicate time to his needs.
