Suzzy came to us when her owner passed away. Suzzy was a very loved pet and was well taken care of. Suzzy is currently about 42 pounds and her foster mom is working hard at getting her to lose a few pounds and get in better shape. Suzzy now loves to walk and of course smell things. She loves ALL people and adores getting pet and belly rubs. Her owner was unable to take her out for several months before he passed, but she is doing amazing with a refresher course in house training. She has mastered the doggie door in her foster home. Suzzy wants to be where her person is. If you are outside, she wants to be outside - if you are inside, she wants to be inside. She likes to have her person in sight. She will get a little vocal if you aren't, but she is nondestructive. Her foster leaves her alone in the whole house when she leaves and she doesn't bother things in the house. Suzzy is very food motivated and will do anything for a morsel of food. She loves all people - even children. She is very gentle with people of all ages. She seems to be fine with cats in the neighborhood. She will walk up to them but not try to chase or bother them in anyway. She would be okay with another dog as long as it wasn't a super hyper dog that would be in her face to play all the time. The puppies in her foster home are not her idea of fun. She is much more of a laid back girl. Sometimes she sleeps in the bed with her foster mom - sometimes she lays on the dog bed in the bedroom. We are determined to find Suzzy the perfect home with people that will love her like her dad did. Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue.
