Luther is a sweet and soulful 3-year-old, 24-pound Dachshund mix who is searching for a forever home filled with love, patience, and a playful canine companion. This Valentine's season, he's hoping to find a best friend (human and dog alike!) who will help him grow in confidence and shower him with the care he deserves. While a little shy at first, Luther truly comes out of his shell when another dog is around. Because of this, he must go to a home with another playful pup who can show him the ropes, help him feel secure, and, of course, join in on some tail-wagging fun! Luther's Love Languages: Quality Time - Whether it's romping around with his dog friends or bonding with his human, Luther thrives on connection. Treats & Encouragement - This smart boy is crate-trained and eager to learn, though he may need a little extra encouragement in new situations. Positive reinforcement training will help him gain confidence and master his manners. Playtime & Routine - He loves to play but also appreciates a structured environment where he knows what to expect-routine makes him feel safe! Luther's journey began in Dec 2024 as a stray, wandering alongside another dog. Though we don't know much about his past, we know his future is full of love and second chances.
