I am Caleb. I am the last of my litter to become available. I would like to say that the rescue saved the best for last. I am about 22 lbs and 4 months old. We think I am a combo of a lab, heeler and maybe a little hound. I am affectionate, kind hearted, not rowdy ( still a puppy though!) and I love to follow my brothers and sisters or really any other dog. I have been around children and love to sit on laps. What makes me a little different is that I have a hearing impairment. ASCZ is honestly not sure if I am completely deaf but it is apparent it is very limited. At my vet appointment they also confirmed the same. This absolutely does not bring me down! I want to do all the things the other dogs do and I am smart! I am going to learn my routine quickly. That being said, I am looking for a home with humans that can be dedicated hand signal users and willing to learn how to manage and train a deaf dog. Experience is a plus but really, all my humans need is patience and perhaps a different approach than the norm. I will get it fast with visual training and positive reinforcement. Another dog would be a plus so I can watch and follow the cues of a canine leader. I am crate-trained and can't wait to find my forever home with lots of love!
