About Teddy

Teddy is at the Vinton County Dog Shelter, and he is desperate for a loving new home. Teddy is likely 1-1.5 years old. We believe he is either an Australian Shepherd and/or Border Collie mix. Teddy is an incredibly happy and snuggly dog. He has done great meeting dogs here at the shelter. He was around cats and kittens when we picked him up to bring him into the shelter. He was great around them, never messed with them. The family who found Teddy assured us that he is fantastic and was great in their home for the few days he spent there. They would have kept him if they had been able to. Due to Teddy's age and breed, he is not getting nearly enough mental or physical exercise here at the shelter. He is such a good dog who goes straight into his kennel after morning cleaning, even though he knows he'll be stuck there all day. When Teddy first comes out of his kennel, he must greet us first thing. Each and every time, no matter how badly he needs to go relieve himself. We believe Teddy is housebroken, at least partially. He keeps a very clean kennel, even with his lack of freedom each day. Teddy is a high drive, happy, and incredibly intelligent dog. Teddy is a, very, well-rounded young dog, who would thrive in any home. He is the perfect mix of young energy, smarts, and calm loving soul. Teddy's adoption is sponsored/free to a good home. This will include his 5in1 vaccine, kennel cough vaccine, microchipping, VC tags for the year (you do not have to live in VC), and a voucher to help play for his neuter (at a local vet).
