We rescued Fiona a few years ago. She has not adapted to the other cat or two dogs. She loves people, is very vocal, and very affectionate. But if any other animals are around her, she is territorial, and either want to fight or run and hide. My daughters 12-year-old dog passed, and she adopted a new dog. For the last 6 months Fiona has been extremely stressed and has started urinating on the floor in front of entry doors here in the house. She has her own litter box that is kept clean but is obviously very unhappy. She has never gotten along with the other cat and had to have separate litter boxes on opposite ends of the house. If the other cat (Mickey) uses her box, she will not use it again until it is cleaned. We love her but have to be fair to her. A stressful existence in just one part of the house is not the best environment for her. If you are looking for a loud purring, lap cat, that is what she wants to be. We will be careful and picky about any home she may go to.
