Rehoming a 1yr old pup. Meet Paloma, an energetic, fun, loving, playful 1 year old dog. She is a mixed breed, we believe she may be an English Pointer mix. She has a BEAUTIFUL dalmatian like markings on her underbelly and legs. After my Mom's senior dog sadly passed away we looked at shelters to see what dogs were available. My mom had an IMMEDIATE connection with her so we rescued her from the shelter one year ago. It took time for her to adjust from being in a shelter but after a while Paloma started to show her personality. She absolutely loves car rides and to go on walks. She likes chilling on the couch and cuddling while watching tv. She will literally hug you when she greets you. And of course she loves belly rubs. She is an indoor/outdoor dog and crate trained. One day we noticed Paloma limping and noticed her right eye slowly started looking more & more cloudy. After many vet visits we found out that Paloma has Valley Fever, a fungal infection that can affect her bones and her eyes. After being on medication for a few months her condition began to improve, she is no longer limping. Her eye has slightly improved, however, her eye condition will require medication for a prolonged period of time. Our family is extremely saddened to rehome her. My Dad unfortunately passed away, my Mom is a senior citizen now with financial restrictions, she simply cannot afford to continue with Paloma's vet appointments. We are so sad we couldn't be Paloma's furever home so we looking for a family that will take good care of her and continue the eye treatments that she needs. We will pass on Palomas current medication and prescriptions. She is still a puppy (1 year old) with lots of energy, we hope her new family will take her on walks and car rides.
