Location: Lilburn Name: Bono Age: 23 months Weight : 45 lbs Gender: Male Breed: English Springer Spaniel Utd on vaccines: Yes On monthly preventative: No Neutered: Yes Good with other dogs: Some Good with cats: No Good with kids: Unknown Tier 5 Reason for rehoming: Private Bono is almost two years old, 100% house trained (zero accidents), knows multiple commands, and his recall is 100% while in the yard. With some training, his recall off leash would be amazing, I just haven't had the time. As mentioned, Bono does have anxiety issues around two areas: 1. Noise - when he was 12 weeks old, he suffered a terrible fright when we were caught outside during some fireworks. Since then, he is terrified (shaking, pacing, unable to settle) during fireworks and thunderstorms. His vet prescribed him Trazadone during those situations, which works well, but he would not be able to be left alone. 2. When he was 5 months old, he was attacked by a corgi and a frenchie at a dog park. Since then, he is reactive to all small dogs, and some larger dogs, if they are on the aggressive side. Keep this in mind if you have dogs already. I would not recommend going to a dog park with him, until his recall is 100%, and not even then if there are other dogs around. Since his attack, I've stopped going to dog parks unless they are empty. Bono is extremely smart, as all Springers are, and he would be amazing at agility, hunting or dock jumping competitions. He's extremely high energy, and would not do well with an older person. He's never been around young children, so that is an unknown. I am leaving on January 20th and need to find a home for him before that. Please DM me with any additional questions.
