Not sure about cats and he seems to be friendly with other dogs. SCOOTER'S STORY: Scooter is a 1-2yr old male Shorthair who came to ISR from a shelter. He weighs about 40lbs and is a very sweet boy. The foster family says that he sleeps quietly in his crate at night. During the day if he needs to go in his crate there is a bit of complaining at first, but then he settles down. He loves to cuddle and his size is really fun. He is such a happy and bouncy Shorthair. The foster family is working on Scooter's recall as he doesn't seem to know his name. If there is a squirrel or a neighbor dog, then nothing seems to matter. Obedience commands he knows are sit and down. The foster family is working on getting him to sit and wait for his food. While the foster family has not been able to take Scooter for walks on a leash, he's been getting lots of exercise and zoomie time in the back yard. He loves to run along the fence with all of the neighbor dogs and does not show aggression to them, or to people. Being a young dog, he does like to chew and sometimes the fingers of the foster family can get nipped. The foster family says that Scooter is a very sweet dog who would do well in many different situations. His adjustment time to their home was nearly non-existent. If you're a family who wants to adopt a sweet energetic GSP boy, then Scooter may be just the match for you! Please complete our Online Adoption Application at www.shorthairrescue.com.
