We got Lucky from a rescue when he was 2 years old in October 2021. We anticipate that he was a COVID puppy then given back when restrictions were lifted. Lucky is 5 now, and is a wonderful boy. He is very intuitive and knows when his adults are sick or hurt. He helped me through the morning sickness of my pregnancy with the grace of a support animal. His adoption profile stated that he is an incredibly social and friendly dog who loves parties, and that all rings true. For the past 3 years he has been in a home with a female dog who he gets along well with. He gets a little jealous of attention toward the other dog but is still friendly and playful. The reason we are looking to rehome such a wonderful dog is his stress about our toddler. Lucky is a herding dog who thrives on predictability, which toddlers are not. Will do better with older children and is great with babies, but struggles with active toddlers. We are looking for an active family to take him in. He is housebroken and crate trained, a very good listener and food motivated. Will not guard food or toys. When he is scared he will hide but never lash out. He is communicative, and throws tantrums over toys but will never fight other dogs.
