Rescue / Foster / Adopter Needed ASAP Jethro the hound dog was dumped at The Red Bird Mission in Clay County Kentucky a while back, starved and scared. The community fed him and have been collectively caring for him since then, he just kind of fit in. He's a bit hesitant to let people pet him and makes you earn his trust. He seems to be in pretty good health, though I would estimate him to be 5-7 years old and about 60 lbs. Good on leash. Very sweet and somewhat avoidant and submissive to other dogs. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to observe him in a traditional home setting, but someone did take him in on an exceptionally cold night and he did well with their older children. He's a lover!! Jethro will be fully vetted as of Monday January 20 thanks to a generous soul and lover of dogs! He has a dog house, but he is free roaming and really deserves a proper home. Despite his gentle demeanor, a roaming dog isn't ideal for most settings. Management has decided he needs to move on and if we can't find him a new place to live soon, he will be taken to the shelter. I truly believe he will wither quickly in a shelter environment and this breaks my heart. I currently have other foster dogs and cannot take anymore. Begging for any help or suggestions on where he may be loved. I can help with transportation.
