About Sam

Beautiful Sam is a 5 year old husky from a backyard breeding situation. He is personality plus, is quite the talker, and should be kept on leash like pretty much all huskies so you don't end up chasing him, or worse, losing him. I can say he is good to come to me after a bit of a game if he is distracted which is better than most huskies. lol They are an independent natured breed with a mind of their own. He has normal adult energy and is mostly quiet in the house. He only sings a couple of times a day and it is usually short lived and encouraged by the other furry residents here. He is heartworm positive and has been treated using the slow kill method. Currently, he only requires normal heartworm prevention to be used monthly like any other dog, but will need to be retested as part of a normal vet visit anyway in October of 2025. This boy is so sweet. You would need to be careful with kitties because he does seem a bit distracted by them. He comes inside a good bit though and we watch him closely when the kitties are moving about. The movement gets his attention and he goes towards them, but seems to be easily corrected. Huskies in general can be aggressive towards cats, so I would never leave him alone with them as a good rule of thumb. He is crate and house trained. Sorry about the picture as he is currently in need of a good grooming. But he is so beautiful, sweet, and quite a funny boy that brings lots of joy.
