Ace is an Australian Labradoodle who is quite possibly the sweetest and most loving and cuddly dog I've ever seen. He doesn't know a stranger and loves kids of all ages, dogs of all sizes. He loves a walk but also loves to cuddle with his family. He doesn't require a ton of exercise but loves to be loved and rubbed. Ace is obedient and eager to please and has been leash trained and boarded at Holiday Barn in Richmond, VA and loves to spend time there. He goes with the flow, rarely ever barks and doesn't beg for food or treats though he's always happy to get a surprise. Ace is comfortable with groomers and doesn't mind a bath. He is very responsive to his name. Ace is also used to a correction collar and an electric fence. Ace is loyal to his family and has recently started to exhibit some guarding behaviors for the woman in the home. While he is extremely affectionate to all members of the family, he is particularly close with the woman who is the primary care-taker during the day. Over Christmas when we were travelling and in multiple over-stimulating environments, Ace nipped at my daughter. We have spoken to two dog trainers and have been assured that there is training to address this but unfortunately, we aren't in a position to pursue additional training. He may also have some hierarchy confusion among the members of our family (Husband/wife, 2 teen children).
