About Fitzgerald

Meet Fitzgerald, a precious 1-2 year old, 8-10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Austin, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Say hi to the precious love bug Fitzgerald! Fitz has been with us for just over a week and I cannot imagine life without him already. Hes the most cuddly, loving little guy. Hes house trained, great with dogs and people. He happily lives with a Labrador and a 6 year old with no issues. He even likes to have a fun romping play around with our lab despite the 40 pound weight difference! I look forward to getting him groomed and showing off his gorgeous hair next week once he has recovered from his neuter surgery and can safely be bathed. We were lucky enough to have him over Thanksgiving and he handled all the change and travel like a champ. Fitzgerald did great on a 3 hour car ride and temporarily living in a house with 2 other dogs, 6 adults, and 3 young kids. Thanksgiving festivities added 5 more adults and 4 more young kids which he did great with. He does seem to get stressed by toddlers (under age 3) when they follow him and dont read his social cues, so a home with kids over age 3 would be best. He adores other dogs and always wants to say hi to new friends on walks. Fitz is so well mannered and respectful when greeting other dogs. He loves going for walks and exploring. Even more, he LOVES being cuddled and brushed. Fitz will happily lay on your lap dozing and watching tv while you scratch or brush him for an hour. He loves his humans and greets me every time I come home with full body tail wags and face kisses. If youre looking for a new best friend to go on adventures and binge watch tv with, Fitzgerald is your guy!
