Courtesy Posting: EMERGENCY IN VICTORVILLE, CA (S CAL)- YOUNG BLACK FEMALE CHOW 'PRINCESS' - SHELTER BOUND AT HI KILL SHELTER SOON- BACKYARD BREEDER LEFT IN VACANT HOME, ALONG WITH OTHER CHOWS (BUT ARE BEING FED IN INTERIM)- ALL ARE IN IMMEDIATE NEED OF RESPONSIBLE HOMES OR FOSTERS AND RESCUE (MAY BE ADOPTED SEPARATELY), IDEALLY W/ CHOW EXPERIENCE- ALL ARE PEOPLE/KID AND DOG FRIENDLY- WHO CAN HELP? RESCUES ALSO NEED FOSTERS AND A PLACE FOR DOGS TO GO. Please help us find a loving, responsible home or fosters and rescues for this dear family consisting of mother Princess, who is now approximately 1.5 years old, and a male/father chow and two older puppies left behind. The dogs can be adopted or fostered separately or together, but all need placement asap. The owner of the vacant home where these dogs were left contacted us for help as he plans to rent the home at the end of the month and was going to take them to the local shelter. He is the father of the backyard breeder who moved and left them, but is familiar with the dogs, and is making sure they are fed by someone in the interim. He told us his 6 grandkids ages 8 and up had been around the dogs since they were all young puppies. He also told us they dogs are all friendly with workers at the home, seek attention, and like large and small dogs that have been brought over. They have no reported medical or behavior issues. All dogs/pups were recently vaccinated. The shelter in this area is very high kill and we do not want them to end up there and be euthanized. Please no negative comments as the focus is on finding them homes or fosters and rescue asap. If you are interested in applying to foster or adopt any of these dogs/pups, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap who is assisting with their placement. Sorry, we cannot transport to private homes unless a rescue is involved due to risks of a home or dog not working out for any reason. All adopters will be asked for a home check (which may be virtual), an application, a vet reference and history of past pets, and an adoption contract agreeing to schedule and pay for the costs of spay and neuter.
