By having a small, achievable goal like networking shelter pets, a domino effect could occur and many more pets might get adopted/rescued. This here is DOMINO (#A2149502), and he has had a positive effect on me and others who have interacted with him. DOMINO is around 1-year/3-months old, and he has been in the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA, since July 2024. I witnessed his owner sobbing when he surrendered DOMINO to the shelter because he lost his home. I told him that everything would be done to help to find DOMINO a loving family. It has been remiss of me to not network this unique looking dog until now. Sometimes, DOMINO might be reactive to the kenneled dogs when he is walked through the corridors and if there's a dog in the adjacent yard. But he is learning from corrections and it's obvious that he wants to please his handler. He comes when called, sits and gives his paw for treats that he takes gently, and twerks when his back end is scratched. DOMINO is strong but manageable. With a family (probably one with no small children) who will open their heart and home to him, get him some training, provide him with outdoor activities and indoor snuggles, DOMINO will be a wonderful companion, and he'll have a positive effect on your life. Let's achieve the goal to get DOMINO adopted/rescued. East Valley Animal Shelter 14409 Vanowen St., Van Nuys, CA 91405 Open: Tues-Fri 8-5; Sat & Sun 11-5; Closed Mondays 818-756-9323
